Brain POP
Brain POP is on of my favorite interactive websites to use in the classroom. I have used Brain POP with many different age groups and the activities are always awesome! My school pays for a Brain POP subscription for all teachers but there is a free option to use too.
Teachers can log in to their own Brain POP account here. From there teachers can select different subjects and topics.
Each topic has a short video, games, printable activities and quizzes available. The Brain POP characters Moby the robot and Annie lead you through engaging lessons that are entertaining and fun for students!
Brain POP has different categories available for all learners like Brain POP Jr for K-3 and Brain POP ELL for English Language Learners. There is also a Brain POP for Educators. This site allows you to search through Brain POP activities and see how they align to Common Core Standards for your state. You can also access lesson plans, printables and fun activities. it also features training opportunities and tool and feature support. I hope you check it out and try Brain POP in your own class! Enjoy!
I absolutely love Brain POP, however I think I completely forgot about it this year, which makes me really disappointed in myself! I have loved using this as a resource to engage students and teach them valuable information through a different way other than lecture. I wonder if there is a way to link Brain POP to google classroom and allow this to be a station in a blended learning environment? I'll have to check that out!
ReplyDeleteBrain POP was popular at my old school. We had access and the students had access at home as well. My students were very engaged and enjoyed the site. I need to get on a see what has changed. Does Brain POP offer any type of data tracking?
ReplyDeleteLove Brainpop! The kids always enjoy the videos and doing the quizzes. I definitely love knowing that the videos are always going to be kid friendly too. It makes it easier on us!
